1terrible quality and a health risk
By lvb7
In order to receive the full health benefits of turmeric it is recommended that you take 2000 mg per day. That typically means about 4 pills per day which can get rather expensive. I was originally taking the Nature’s Way turmeric but decided to switch brands to save some money. The Botanic Choice is clearly the cheapest brand of turmeric on this website but it is clearly cheap for a good reason. The quality is terrible. I highly doubt that it contains more than 1% curcumin which is the most important component of turmeric. The Nature’s Way brand contains at least 95% curcumin. I also tried opening one of the Botanic Choice gel caps and the powder doesn’t even taste like turmeric when compared to the ground turmeric on my spice rack.

I have a heart condition that causes frequent palpitations or at least it used to. When I began taking the Nature’s Way turmeric the palpitations all but disappeared. Then I switched to Botanic Choice and the palpitations not only reappeared but began occurring more frequently. I should also mention that on the bottom of the bottle is a sticker labeled “WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.” Regardless of whether you’re concerned about reproductive problems this product is supposed to benefit your health not harm it. If it’s not 100% natural then don’t take it. The only listed ingredients other than turmeric are gelatin and magnesium stearate. If you’re not familiar with the ingredient magnesium stearate perhaps you would be more familiar with its common name…soap scum. Seriously, look it up. I’m not sure if the warning is referring to one of those ingredients or perhaps the plastic bottle itself but either way I don’t feel safe taking it and it certainly is not helping my health or heart condition. I’ll be switching back to Nature’s Way or I might try organic turmeric powder instead.

5This really has helped me

A co-worked told me about this product, when I mentioned I have Fibromyalgia. I have been using this for about 6 months and have found that I have less pain and have more energy. I have heard others claim the same.

5No more knee pain!
By Laurie E. Eckels
I have suffered from knee pain and swelling for years. After taking the Turmeric for about 2 weeks, I did not really realize how much good it was doing, until I missed a couple doses. I have also not had any ill side effects from it, and even my low back pain has lessened. I highly recommend it. It’s cheap enough, that it’s certainly worth a try!
