i must say i haven’t had the chance to test it yet , because the stock one my soldering gun came with works fine. So i will let you know when i do use it, until then, have fun ! sincerely , Erich

Saved an old school old tool

I could not believe that I found a new tip for my old soldering gun on Amazon the last tip on my old gun finally broke and I thought I would have to just go out and get a new soldering gun which I didn’t want to do because my 50 year old gun still worked great and they don’t make this two stage gun anymore (so I was told) with as high of a watt rating. I really appreciate it when a sellers add has a good photo of the product I could even match up the threads on my old tip with the one in the photo this really helped in making sure it was the right soldering tip so I bought two now I’m good for another 50 years.

Fits my gun

I have an older model D 550 which apparently uses these tips with the nuts on them. The newer D 550 gun apparently only requires the tip and you just tighten them up in the gun (maybe you only need an allen wrench for replacement).

I can’t find these older style D 550 tips locally so had to order them from amazon. They fit my gun, so what else can I say!
